Chemo #2

This time, it only took 3 hours. I got benadryl automatically which made me tired. I got restless and annoyed. I got more Zofran and another drug, I forget the name. It's in the same family as Stematil but starts with an M. Saturday was OK but I felt pukey. Sunday I felt worse and today (Monday) I felt my worst so far but I'm feeling OK now. The travel sickness wrist bands work like a mother for nausea, I've decided. My family had some left over from a cruise we went on a few years ago. I thought they were just some ploy to make money but they seem to work. I've yet to come to a decision about ginger ale and candied ginger but I'll keep experimenting.

Here's a picture of me at chemo #2 on October 26, 2001. The stuffed guy is Golly. He's a golliwog. I got him when I went to England in 1999 with Rebecca. He has huge eyes. I figured his eyes were so big becuase he had radiation. That's why I bought him to go along with our chemo jokes. But even though he's full of radiation, he still has a huge smile. He never had chemo, so he did the radiation, I do the chemo and together we fight cancer. He comes to every chemo with me.

I think my hair has started to come out. Well, I'm sure of it. It's kind of fun since I know it's all got to come out one day so I'm not too worried but I still think I'll look pretty stupid with no hair. Not too much is coming out but it's definitely starting up. I hope my nausea is better by tomorrow.

I got a gallium injection today for my Gallium scan on Thursday. My doctor also wants me to get another CT Scan, a cardiac scan and a pulmonary function test to see how everything is. I don't mind as long as it's not another bone marrow biopsy. I'm not sure what the CT and Gallium scans are going to show since the lump in my neck is already barely noticeable to touch. I love that.
